The task was to select an app that has a lot of usability issues, identify them and redesign the app so as to create a better user experience. This was a group project, consisting of two group members.
mPassport Seva is a mobile application by the Ministry of External Affairs for passport related services. The functions are - new user registration, existing user login, application for passport services, online payment, etc.
Problem Statement
As a government application, uniformity of colours, fonts, familiar language should be constant, it should be easy to use and understand. It should be aesthetically pleasing.
Solution
The use of appropriate content and a colour scheme as per the needs of the users in order to maintain overall hierarchy and to create a user friendly app.
